Chickn' and Gnocchi dumpling Soup

Okay so I decided to start blogging my recipes to keep up with them. This recipe will fall under the super simple category. I came up with this the other day because we really needed to go to the store and to be honest that is when I come up with some of my best dishes.... when I have to make something out of nothing. Soup is always a good go to when that's the case. Wow with all these red underlines maybe I'll turn into a better speller from blogging as well. Okay so the recipe....

1 8 oz bag veggie chicken strips
1 16 oz pkg prepared gnocchi
28 oz of vegetable broth
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
salt to taste
1/2 cup peas
1/4 cup carrots
1/8 cup corn

Begin buy boiling gnocchi in broth basically by following the package directions but using broth instead of water. Add garlic pwdr, onion pwdr, salt and pepper. Then add veggie chickn' strips. I would imagine tofu or some kind of tvp would do if that's all you got but if you use tofu I would recommend you using an extra firm and freezing it then defrosting it so it holds up with some kind of texture, maybe even frying or baking it too. Okay so then add the veggies, I used frozen ones. Cook on medium heat for like 5 minutes then medium low for 5-10 mins more. Then just that easy it is done.
Like I mentioned I just made this out of what I had I can think of a few other extra things you could do but I'll leave it up to you to put your own spin on it. I never follow a recipe to the t nor do I really measure so I encourage you to season to YOUR taste and be creative!
